The purpose of this Chapter shall be the advancement and diffusion of knowledge of physics, the encouragement of interest in physics throughout the academic and local communities, and the introduction of students to the professional community. As a member of GW's SPS Chapter, you can attend weekly meetings, participate in professional conferences relating to physics and the various subfields it encompasses, and volunteer in annual outreach activities. All students interested in physics, regardless of major, are welcome to join!
