About The Hoya

The Hoya is Georgetown University’s major student-run newspaper and one of the university’s most prominent student media organizations. Students report on campus news, Georgetown athletics, university administration, politics, student life, arts, and issues affecting the wider Washington, D.C. community. The organization includes far more than just writers, with students working in photography, design, multimedia, business, technology, audience development, and other operational roles. Its newsroom gives students practical experience covering a major university while also serving as an important independent source of information for the Georgetown community.
