Since 1947, AMIRS has transformed the college experience for thousands of American University students through pioneering, experiential programming. Today, AMIRS is American University’s largest student organization with over 200 members. AMIRS is open to all students and composed of 5 branches, each dedicated to promoting dialogue on International issues. The Model UN Team travels to over a dozen conferences each year and is ranked 1st in North America. AmeriMUNC hosts over 1,000 high school students and teachers annually on campus. WIRC has helped start over 50 Model UN Teams in the DMV area and annually helps train over 500 novice Model UN delegates. Special Events carries on the legacy of PEI by hosting International Relations focused programming and Community Programming brings the branches together through community-building social activities.
