The Lavender Collective aims to provide an equitable brave space for Black, Brown, andPeople of Color who identify as LGBTQIA+. Our main objectives are to offersupport, healing, and advocacy to our community. We meet bi-weekly on Tuesdays at Room P-113.We help each other through community building, centering conversations about navigating ourselves asQueer and Trans People of Color in social and academic environments.The organization operates as a network to offer students Leadership roles that teach and engaging in the nurturting of marginalized communities on campus, especially fem-identifying students. The Lavender Collective emphasizes the importance of civic engagement, community, & self-care through a decolonized framework and Womanist/Feminist lens.
