The Office of Student Advocacy has oversight and coordination of responsibilities for the areas of student conduct. The Director serves as the primary disciplinary and administrative hearing officer for student conduct-related issues at three locations. OSA reinforces the colleges policies and procedures to student issues, concerns, and emergencies. The Director of Student Advocacy is a member of the AWARE Team. A multi-disciplinary group that meets weekly to provide caring, supportive, and early intervention to individuals whose behaviors are self-harm, disruptive, concerning, or the risk of violence to others. The team is comprised of 9-10 members. The Director of Student Advocacy also serves as the Title IX Investigator in charge of gathering pertinent information, including statements of the complainant, the respondent and witnesses, documents, texts, photos, pictures, images, and recordings, analyzing the information gathered, and determining by a preponderance of the evidence what occurred.
