Vietnamese Students Association
Boston College
The Vietnamese Students Association of Boston College is committed to educating its members about Vietnam by providing cultural and traditional enrichment through its events, while developing a deeper sense of pride, identity and leadership. Our mission includes: - Educating our members as well as the Boston College community of the Vietnamese history and culture through art, music, tradition, and cuisine. - Raising political and social awareness by informing our members about the different issues (environmental, human rights, etc) in Vietnam's history and present that affect both the Vietnamese and Vietnamese-Americans. - Strengthening the Vietnamese Students Association internally by fostering a stronger sense of unity through better communication with our members. - Achieving greater representation within the Boston College community by showing our support for other clubs on campus, with a focus on the AHANA cultural clubs. - Enhancing our social awareness by actively volunteering and participating in community service events in the Vietnamese community of the greater Boston area. - Encouraging our members to actively participate in VSA functions and simultaneously fostering leadership skills in order to establish continuity within the club.
