The LBCC Viking Activities Council is the official student programming and coordinating group of the Associated Student Body. The group aims to have fun and make lifelong friends through leadership, team building, and event planning at the college. The Viking Activities Council will facilitate programming & activities for traditional and cultural events college-wide while supporting clubs and organizations along the way. The council will also support programming throughout the college and the community. VIKING ACTIVITIES COUNICL MEETINGS The council meets every Thursday at 2:30 p.m. in room EE-102 (TTC Student Unioin) Appointed positions are ongoing until all positions are filled. Applications are due 3 business days before each meeting to be considered for a position. To be a member of the council, you must: Be enrolled at Long Beach City College Enrolled in a minimum of 6 units Minimum GPS of 2.0 Must not exceed more than 6 semesters of student leadership Must not be on academic probation Must be in good standing with the college The following positions are currently available for the Viking Activities Council for the 2025 – 2026 School Year: Chair Vice Chair Secretary Treasurer Viking Volunteer Officer Intramural Officer Communications Officer Cultural Affairs Officer Rep at Large All members receive a transcript notation for their membership and involvement. If the member is involved with the Viking Volunteer Program, they may receive a transcript notation. Volunteer for 30 hours or more, and you are eligible for a transcript notation (you receive 2 hours of credit for every meeting and additional hours for working the events the group plans).
