The purpose of WASSA is to unite Sahelian students at Howard University by fostering a strong sense of community, cultural pride, and belonging. Through engagement, mentorship, and cultural exchange, WASSA aims to create a supportive space where Sahelian (Senegalese, Gambian, Mauritanian, Guinean, and Malian) students can connect, celebrate their shared heritage, and enrich the broader university community.
