American University
Young Democratic Socialists of America at American University, or YDSA @ AU, is a space for like-minded AU students to come together and be empowered to fight against the most pressing social justice issues impacting our communities. We educate our fellow students on how capitalism is negatively impacting every social justice issue from climate change to racial justice to universal healthcare, and to organize campaigns that will combat these threats in order to improve the lives of everyone at AU and the broader community. YDSA @ AU practices radical solidarity with other progressive AU organizations and local groups that are fighting for justice, equality, and liberation. Our goal is to push for true democracy on AU's campus to better serve as the ground for a democratic socialist future. Members of YDSA @ AU come from all different walks of life, yet we all share a fundamental passion for democratic socialism, community organizing, and political activism. YDSA is open to all students.
