Zeta Psi
American University
The Delta Chi Chapter at American University was originally founded in 1969 by a group of like-minded students looking for a fraternity that promoted civic and campus engagement while also eschewing hazing practices. The original incarnation of the chapter was short-lived, as the Vietnam War and Anti-Greek movement of the early 1970s led to a number of chapters closing, including the Delta Chi chapter. The chapter was refounded in 2009 by a group of friends who similarly eschewed the negative aspects of Greek culture, while also wanting an organization that was more inclusive. Today the Delta Chi chapter of Zeta Psi strives to be a fraternity for people from all walks of life, seeking to build friendships and become better men.
